Lawyers for the Creative Arts
Since the inception of the Firm, Andresen & Associates has been active with the Lawyers for the Creative Arts, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, which provides pro bono legal services to qualifying individuals and organizations in the arts, including the visual, literary and performing arts. Since LCA's inception in 1972, it has provided legal services and educational programming to tens of thousands of artists and cultural organizations, including many who are now among the most prominent in the area. LCA is the only pro bono provider of legal services in the Chicago metropolitian area limited to, and expert in, the arts. The Council of Chiefs, NFP
Andresen & Associates is honored to support and great tradition by providing a wide array of pro bono services to the Council of Chiefs, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization comprised of the individuals who formerly portrayed Chief Illiniwek at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, as the organization fulfills its mission to provide scholarships to students at UIUC, and to provide education and awareness regarding the proud tradition of Chief Illiniwek. Future Superstars, NFP
Began by former professional basketball players Kiwane Garris and Jerry Hester. Future Superstars is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to improving the lives of young children by offering programs that combine basketball skills training with life skills/personal achievement education and messages. Andresen & Associates Founder Scott Andresen serves as legal counsel for the organization and is one of its Board members.
Chicago Sports Academy, NFP
Andresen & Associates serves as legal counsel for the Chicago Sports Academy, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that assists Chicago inner-city student athletes develop the athletic, classroom and life skills necessary to succeed as athletes, students and people.
Spark the Hope Foundation
Andresen & Associates provides as-needed pro bono legal services to Spark the Hope Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to funding the groundbreaking research and treatments being pioneered by Dr. Richard Burt, Chief of the Division of Immunotherapy and Autoimmune Diseases (DIAD) at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, to save and change the lives of patients with autoimmune diseases.
