Andresen & Associates co-Presenting a “Panel on Professional Athletes and Investment Fraud” on March 3, 2011

The numbers are shocking. By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress. Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke. A substantial portion of these problems arise or are contributed to by poor financial decisions made by players during and immediately following their playing days.

The Chicago Bar Association’s Sports Law Committee, in association with Andresen & Associates, Block & Landsman and Borkuslaw, is presenting a Panel on Professional Athletes and Investment Fraud on March 3, 2011 at the John Marshall Law School. The panel will provide useful knowledge to attorneys, current and former professional athletes, agents and athlete advisors, and anyone else looking to gain valuable information about the all too frequent problem of athlete investment fraud. The Panel will be followed by a reception for all attendees.

For information on the Panel and an RSVP form, please download the Attachment below or contact Scott Andresen at (773) 572-6049 or at Space is limited and RSVP’s will be taken on a first come-first served basis.
